1. Scholarship Candidate must a son, daughter or grandson, granddaughter of an active member of Rockland County AOH, Division 1
   
2. An active member is defined as having paid up dues for the current year and prior years. Additionally,  a member must have attended at least 2 monthly meetings (live or virtual) during the year when when the application is being submitted. The attendance at 2 monthly member meetings can be waived based on verified illness or other situations such as work schedules, etc.
   
3. Each year there will be $1,500 available for up to 3 scholarship winners with each scholarship having a value of $500. if there are more than 3 scholarship applications, the $1,500 will be allocated among the number of applicants. For example if there are 5 applicants for the $1,500 available, each applicant would receive $300. ​
   
4. The scholarship application must be completely filled out, submitted by the due date and submitted to the Scholarship Chairman as indicated on the application.
   
5. The Scholarship Chairman will review and submit the qualifying applications to a monthly member meeting in the Fall for review and member vote to award the applicable scholarship(s).
   
6. Upon receiving the member vote of approval for awarding the scholarship(s) the Division Treasurer will either mail the scholarship check to the awardee or save the scholarship check to be awarded at a future Division social event. If the awardee is not available to accept the check at a Division social event, a parent or grandparent can accept the check on behalf of the awardee.
